Honor’s Magic 2 looks to be a budget alternative to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro
But it's also got something different: A slide-out selfie camera

In some ways, Honor is like the poor man’s Huawei. Just weeks after Huawei launched its flagship Mate 20 Pro, it looks like its budget smartphone brand will bring us a new model that delivers some of the same technology in a cheaper package.
The Honor Magic 2, slated to be introduced on October 31 in Beijing, will be powered by Huawei’s very own new Kirin 980 chip. Leaks suggest it will also come with a 6.4-inch OLED display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and support 40W fast-charging, just like the Mate 20 Pro.
On the back of the Magic 2 is a triple-lens camera, which looks similar to Huawei’s older flagship, the P20 Pro.
But there’s one thing that neither the Mate 20 Pro or P20 Pro has -- a pop-up selfie camera module. Honor first teased the design at IFA in Berlin in August, revealing the Magic 2’s front camera by sliding the screen downwards.
It’s not the first smartphone with that same look though: The Oppo Find X and the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 both have a similar slider design.
